Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a rocking chair on decking?
Yes, rocking chairs work well on decking. The curved runners spread the weight evenly, so they should not damage the boards. If you are concerned about scuffing, stick some adhesive felt pads to the underside of the runners as extra protection.
Do outdoor rocking chairs come with cushions?
Yes, our rocking chairs include padded seat and back cushions. The covers are removable and machine washable. We recommend bringing the cushions inside when the chair is not in use, especially during wet weather.
How much weight can a garden rocking chair support?
Our rocking chairs have a weight capacity of approximately 120kg. The steel frame and runners are built to handle regular rocking motion at this weight without any issues.
Is the footstool included or sold separately?
This depends on the model. Some rocking chairs include a matching footstool in the set, while others are sold as the chair only. Check the product page for what is included. The footstool uses the same rocking runner design as the chair.
Will a rocking chair blow over in wind?
Rocking chairs are relatively lightweight, so in very strong winds they could tip. On exposed, windy patios it is a good idea to move the chair against a wall or bring it inside during storms. Day-to-day breezes should not cause any problems.
