Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can a conversation set seat?
Our conversation sets typically seat three to four people. A standard layout includes a two or three-seat sofa plus one or two armchairs. The coffee table sits in the middle, within easy reach of every seat.
Can I eat dinner at a conversation set?
The coffee table is quite low (around 40-45cm), so it is not ideal for sit-down meals. It works fine for snacks, drinks, and casual grazing. If you want to eat outdoors regularly, a dining set with a standard-height table is a better fit.
What is the difference between a conversation set and a lounge set?
They are similar in layout, but lounge sets are our premium range. Lounge sets tend to have deeper, wider seating, thicker cushions, and more generous proportions overall. Conversation sets offer the same relaxed style at a lower price.
How should I arrange a conversation set in my garden?
Place the sofa and armchairs facing each other with the coffee table centred between them. This creates a natural social space. Try to position the set on a level patio area with some shade nearby, and leave at least 60cm of clearance around the outside for walking past. Our garden zoning guide has more layout ideas.
Are the glass table tops safe?
Yes. Our coffee tables use tempered safety glass, which is much stronger than regular glass and designed to withstand normal outdoor use. If it does break, it shatters into small, rounded pieces rather than sharp shards. The glass sits securely on the rattan frame and does not slide around.
