Patio Sets

A patio set is the difference between a garden you look at through the window and one you actually use.

We group ours by how you will use them. Bistro and folding sets are compact, affordable, and suit balconies and small gardens. Conversation sets are sofa-style seating arranged around a coffee table, built for afternoons and evenings with friends. Lounge sets are the full thing: two-seater sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, the kind of layout that makes your patio feel like another room.

Every set comes with cushions and is built from weather-resistant materials. We have been selling garden furniture for over 20 years. All stock is held at our UK warehouse, and our UK call centre team knows these products properly. No scripts, no phone menus, just someone who can actually help.

Buying Guide

How to Choose the Right Patio Furniture Set

Picking a patio set starts with a simple question: what do you actually want to use it for? A morning coffee for two needs a completely different setup to a family dinner for eight. We break our patio sets into four main categories, each suited to a different purpose.

Bistro sets are the most compact option. A small table and two chairs, perfect for balconies and tight corners. Conversation sets are built around socialising, with sofas, armchairs, and a low coffee table. Lounge sets are similar but at the premium end, with deeper seating and more generous proportions. And dining sets are designed for eating outdoors, with a proper dining-height table and seating for up to eight.

All our patio sets use PE rattan over powder-coated steel frames. This combination is lightweight enough to move around but tough enough to stay outside year-round. The rattan is UV-stabilised so it will not fade, and the frames resist rust.

Before buying, measure your outdoor space carefully. Leave at least 60cm of clearance around seating areas so people can pull out chairs and move around comfortably. Think about storage too. Some sets, like our cube dining sets, are designed so the chairs tuck neatly under the table when not in use.

Cushions come included with all our sets. They are showerproof but should be stored somewhere dry overnight or during prolonged rain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What material are the patio sets made from?

All our patio sets are made from PE rattan hand-woven over powder-coated steel frames. PE rattan is a synthetic material that is weatherproof, UV-resistant, and much more durable than natural wicker. For more on materials, see our garden furniture materials guide.

Do patio sets need to be assembled?

Yes, all sets arrive flat-packed and require some assembly. Simpler sets like bistro sets take around 20-30 minutes. Larger dining and lounge sets can take 45 minutes to an hour. All fixings and basic instructions are included.

Can I leave patio furniture out all year round?

The PE rattan and steel frames are designed to withstand UK weather year-round. However, using a furniture cover during autumn and winter will significantly extend the life of your set. Cushions should always be stored in a dry place when not in use. Our winter storage guide has practical advice.

How do I know which size patio set to choose?

Think about how many people will regularly use it and measure your available space. A bistro set needs roughly 1.5m x 1.5m. Conversation sets need around 2.5m x 2m. Large dining sets may need 3m x 2.5m or more. Always leave room to walk around the furniture comfortably.

Do the sets come with cushions?

Yes, all our patio sets include matching cushions with removable, washable covers. The cushions are showerproof for light rain but should be dried out or brought inside after heavy downpours to prevent mildew.
