They are priced higher than our other sets, and there is a reason for that. The weave patterns, the frame finishes, the proportions. You can see and feel the difference. What to Look For in a Garden Lounge Set

Lounge sets are the most comfortable outdoor seating we sell. They sit at the top end of our range, with deeper frames, thicker cushions, and more generous proportions than standard conversation sets. If you spend a lot of time in your garden, this is the category worth investing in.

A typical lounge set includes a large sofa (often a three-seater), one or two armchairs, and a coffee table with a tempered glass top. Some sets also include side tables or storage features built into the frame. The seating is low and reclined, designed for relaxation rather than upright dining.

Cushions on lounge sets are noticeably thicker than on our other ranges, usually 10cm or more. They make a real difference to comfort, especially if you are sitting for hours. The covers are removable and machine washable, which is essential given how much use these sets tend to get.

Construction is PE rattan on powder-coated steel, consistent across all our furniture. The larger frames on lounge sets mean they are heavier and more stable in wind, but harder to move once assembled. Plan your layout before you start building.

Space is the main consideration. You will need at least 3m x 2.5m for a full lounge set, plus clearance around the edges. These are not small-garden furniture. If your space is more limited, a conversation set offers a similar layout in a more compact footprint.

How big is a garden lounge set?

A full lounge set with sofa, armchairs, and coffee table typically needs a floor area of around 3m x 2.5m minimum. These are generous-sized pieces, so measure your patio or garden area carefully before ordering. Allow extra space for people to walk around the outside.

Are lounge set cushions comfortable enough to sit on for hours?

Yes. Lounge set cushions are typically 10cm or thicker, with high-density foam filling. They are designed for extended use and hold their shape well over time. The back cushions provide good lumbar support at the reclined angle.

How do I protect my lounge set in winter?

The PE rattan and steel frames can stay outside year-round, but we recommend using a fitted furniture cover during the winter months. Bring all cushions inside and store them in a dry location. Can I buy individual pieces from a lounge set?

Our lounge sets are sold as complete packages. We do not currently sell individual sofas or armchairs separately. This ensures all pieces match perfectly in colour, weave pattern, and cushion fabric.

How long does a lounge set take to assemble?

Allow 45 minutes to an hour for a full lounge set. The sofa is usually the most time-consuming piece. We recommend two people for assembly, as some parts are heavy and easier to handle together. All fixings and instructions are included in the box.
